FALL SYMPHONY

This piece was a fun one to do!
I used a photo transfer for the very background
trees. On the blue dress I first of all pasted some hearts cutouts from japanese rice paper, and then covered it this with another beautiful transclucent blue paper for her dress.
It was a piece to honour the fall.

HONOUR THIS MOMENT

This little painting was produced when I was in the doldrums.
It wasn't my most creative day, and decided to do something about it.
I took out my journal, scribbled, just letting go loosening up and
played until I felt my creative juices returning,Then I started playing
with ideas. I wanted to honour this moment, this moment where you can still let your heart sing, when your feeling low if you give it a chance. Then it happened. The thousand little dancing fairies, little munchkins,
all that is magical came dancing in my heart.
What a wonderful process!
Art can be created when your either up,or down. It's just a matter of being more gentle with yourself when your down, and feelings things out a little more, and honoring these feelings at that moment;-))
Her little wooden heart on her dress reads 'Honour this Moment'.
Her dress was this beautiful paper I picked up from a craft store.
I used Alchemy in her hat and blubbles.
An Haiku poem composed by myself accompanies this painting.

ANGELINA AND THE SINGING CAT

This is a dedication to my mother called 'ANGELINA' after my mother's name.

My mother comes from a family of musician. She sings and plays the guitar.

Most of her brothers plays the fiddle.

I've used lint from the dryier for her collar, and end of sleeve for her dress. Added gold leaf on top. I did attached a golden rhinestone at the end ; but haven't taken a picture of it yet.

The background on the hat is from the paper suzi sent us.

Did some stencilling with water color.

Added some very fine glitter for the eyes.

The landscape was an idea that came to my mind during the process. I felt like adding a couple of houses, and some trees.

The flowers are a design from a $10 dress I picked up from a thrift shop.

THREE WISE ONES ...FURTHER PROGRESS

The weather as been very promissing.
Spend part of the afternoon , of course, bonding
with Bijou first of all. I live in an appartment, and
have a 20'patio. When I come home I let him
run out. Ahh he enjoys his freedom!
Ok here's my latest on Three Wise Ones..
Dressed them today, and did the background.
Still long ways to go!
I applied some cerulean blue watercolor first
of all in the background, dried, then applied
Thalo yellow green acrylic. Both green and
blue are harmonious color.
Give them each a pair of stripped socks, and
little shoes.
Thanks for stopping by, and wishing you
a wonderful day!

'Les Petites Doll' Workshop Experience;-)

Today feels like a fall day in Vancouver.
Autumn will soon orchestrate its beautiful colors or reds and yellow throughout the city.
September is normally a beautiful month in Vancouver from my past experience.
What have I been up to?
I've been busy practicing my 'pretty little dolls' with the lovely suziblu.
She is currently giving a "Les Petites Dolls' online
workshop, and iit s 'fantabulous'.
This is done on a piece of 6x12 birch wood which I picked up at Michael's.
Today I went to Windsor another hardware store, and bought 5' x 5' birch wood.
The guy will cut it up 6"x12" pieces for me, which will give be about 50 pieces.
I will be picking it up tomorrow.
This will make many paintings;-)))
I've been practicing little faces, and am at the point where my next
challenge of actually working on wood as finally come.
This is my first time ever painting on wood, and learning how to woodburn.
It is very fun and satisfying at the same time!
Beside learning how to paint on wood, and woodburning, I am learning shading.
I had a little accident while I was woodburning. When I was burning the
outlines on my little dolls I was lowering the tool to much , and left a few umm..
third degree burns scars on the face in the middle, and a bit to the side of the middle one.
I might be able to work something out; but will wait and see.
There's always more wood;-)
I still have to learn how to handle that tool properly, as it is my very first time.
I am enjoying this process tremendously.
Drawing little girls is more than drawing little girls!
I feel it touches on deeper levels on who we are as women, and how to bring
out the little girl within out to play.
I used the famous saying .. See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Say No Evil ; but I turned
it around ..Tee Hee Hee
I will name it something different when it's completely done; but it is loosely based
on that saying~
Have a great day!
