She Saw With The Eyes of Love; But wasn't always understood

"She saw with the eyes of love; but wasn't always understood" is a collage , journal entry. A bit more sombre than my usual paintings. I saw a young man today walking on the street as I was driving home, pan handling.
I rolled my window down, and gave him a dollar. Oh my the glow, and life that came on his face with a toothless smile.
He said" Happy New Year, and Good Luck". I wished him..all the luck myself at that moment..hoping he would be ok.

Sun,Moon,Healing Heart

This is a new finish piece called Sun, Moon,Healing Heart on 12" x 24" baltic birchwood. I started this piece about 6 months ago; but paused for quite awhile before finishing it, and last week I came home from work, looked at it, and finished it off that very night. ;-)
Sometimes writers get writers block, and artists gets artist block lol. I've done that with several of my paintings, leave it on the easel, walk pass it..sometimes add a little something untill it all falls into place at that very special moment.
The Sun, and Moon represents male and feminine energy, while the heart symbolizes love and compassion for all beings.

Mixed Media Book in the Making

Covers for my dos-a-dos book..Three covers, middle one being the back to front and back cover
I made a mixture of spackle and gesso and applied a layer to front and back of each cover.
Let it dry overnight.
The book is about creativity and freedom..The bird theme is used on each cover, with it taking
flight in the hand
My poetry is written on inside of cover..still have to finish posting on inside of last cover
I'll be using a coptic stitch to put book together.
More photos of finish art project to come

First of Three Paintings Commission

I am working on three paintings presently for one person.
The theme is Three Sisters..I just finished the first one.
The first one I just finished was inspired by Raphael The Three Graces.
The Three Graces are the personification of grace and beauty.
In Raphaels The Three Graces all women have their hand on each other's shoulders, and I was immediately
inspired to create a mixed media work using that same idea , because the Three Sisters are very close to each other. It was a great challenge, and enjoyed creating this  artwork for Jenni.
Although Jenni and I know each other only thru helping each other out thru etsy, we don't know each other well; but after doing these three paintings I feel a closeness I can relate to,because we are also Three Sisters.

In the Three Sisters I created the customer wanted specific items held in their hands a sun, moon and star

The second painting was inspired from a photo of my 2 sisters and myself.
In this painting more so than the other two, I felt some sadness.Just
the way it turned out. By writing the three words Love Faith and Hope it enhanced
the love and closeness of the Three Sisters under trying situations

In the last painting The Three Sisters are under an arch. I was inspired by different artists.
I used a crackling technique
to make the building look old. This painting also depicts the closeness with The Three Sisters.
