Acrylics,fiber paste,glass beads medium
on 140 lbs. Arches hot press paper
I've been in an owl frenzy, since taking Juliette Crane's class in Lifebook.
Here's another little whimsy owl, with a poem excerpt from
Mary Oliver "White Owl". The poem is beautiful. To read it in full visit this link http://www.panhala.net/Archive/White_Owl_Flies.html Misty Mawn referred to her in class. I took a small part from the poem , which I felt went nicely with this painting.
Done on 140 lbs. Arches watercolor paper in acrylics, fiber paste for body and wings, and glass beads medium for feathers. Homemade flower stamp on printing paper, and glued on watercolor paper with matte medium
Excerpt reads:
" Coming down out of the freezing sky
with its depths of light
like an angel, or a Buddha with wings"

My Child's Innocence (finished painting)

'"My Child's Innocence" is on Russian birchwood 20"x24" wood panel.
Little girl on a swing, dragonflies flying about, peace birds slowly
and gently moving along flapping their little wings. One as landed
on the little girl. Collaged flowers using a monoprint technique
and home made stamp. There's a little guest at the foot of the
painting, that is very amusing , and has a lot of character.
Many layers of pouring medium as a finishing touch giving it
a glossy  look. This painting is about honoring our
inner child, to let it come out and play.

Spring Medlody Mixed Media Handmade book

This handmade book is
5 1/2" x 9 " , and was created by me using the coptic stitch One of a kind.
The image on the cover is from my painting Spring Melody.which I sold recently. I altered the look of the window, which I quite like. Two paper clay lady bugs are resting on two of the panes, and a bird in flight on the top one. The marker part for holding your page in place has 3 big coral beads on twine at the end to carry you thru the vary last page with your treasure thoughs and secrets. There's a mix of blank, lined, and tibetan paper. On the inside of the front cover is a beautiful patterned batik material, and on back cover a glass mirror flower with hemp stem , adding a special touch to the book. These little round mirrors can be found on traditional east indian clothes, and are called 'shishas'. Look in the mirror, and see your beautiful smile;-) Affirmations at random on front cover.

Finally a little bud!

I've had this cactus for years, and it never flowered for me. Well this year, I noticed little buds on the leaf nodes about four weeks ago. I watched with interest as these started growing, and growing. It is a very slow growth process, and not to sure what the flower will look like. It seems that every day I look at it it's grown a little.
I have a Christmas cacti that blooms every year; and
it's also blooming now. This is a different cacti, with
bigger leaves. Here it is in early stage.

Whimsical Flowers for you;-)))

Hello Dear online friends!
I've been creating whimsical
flowers the last couple of days!
When I signed up with Willowing's Ning site, I became
inspired in playing with my watersoluble crayons.I normally use them for backgrounds in my journal.
I was making purrty little faces when the idea of making flowers grew out of them;-))
I really enjoy creating these.
I use heavy watercolorpaper, and watercolor crayons
(this included watersoluble oil pastel, lyra watersoluble crayons and some caran d'ache.)
The butterflies and hearts embellishments were done with a puffy pen
